I long for a dog

I have no siblings. Fine..coz I wasn't deprived from anything since childhood. I had childhood friends in the neighbourhood and I have wonderful cousins. Anyways, having siblings doesn't mean I'll have a great relationship with them.
I love kids but I don't have any. DUH! I'm not married. Neither do I have the intention of being a single mom. Anyways, I have nieces and nephews to dote on.
I love dogs. So since I can't have kids, dogs will be the next best thing. I plan to have one one fine day. Perhaps after my studies. Why? I'm sure it can teach me to become a better person. A more responsible person. Help me to heal. I thought it'll be great for my mom too. Help her destress after a day's hard work. Make her a better and happier person. A great companion for my parents and myself. Anyways, I have lotsa love to give, someone to mother over.
Then today, the golden opportunity came. My aunt found a white female maltese (refer to Elliot's blog). Well...my cousin's looking for her owner. BUT...what if no one claims her??? Can't we take her????
