Chapter: Responsibility & Commitment

I hereby open a new chapter of my life.
This is my first real commitment...to adopt a puppy maltese. Frankly speaking I was a little overwhelmed. So much so I didn't say much when I met her. I was a little worried that I may not have the ability to care for her alone without anyone to help me out.
So I was quite 'adult' throughout the entire situation. I didn't whine, plea nor beg my mum to allow us to adopt her. Anyway, I think I'm too old to whine and all. In fact, I don't think I said much. I just told my mum, "It's entirely up to you whether we wanna adopt her. But we have to make the decision soon." Well....somehow she said "Yes".
I seriously hope that having a dog around will help me be a better person. A more responsible person. If I can juggle well with her and my school work, even better...shows that I can take on huge responsibilities in real working life??? I hope so...*cross fingers*
