New Year, New Beginning
Thursday, January 01, 2009 @ 9:38 PM
The first day of the new year began like the previous years. Still miss my nanny after these 3 years.
New year, new beginning...I hope that this will be a better year despite the economic climate. I've made a few new year resolutions for 2009. Fewer this year and not a list of 10...in high hopes that I can achieve them.
1. Make major career changes 2. Make self-development/improvement plans (attend cooking, dancing, Japanese, music class) 3. Participate in a 10km run 4. Start dating (I was pressurized to put this down!!!)
Glad to say that I've already started to make plans for one of it to happen. I've signed up for a Macaron-making class! So excited!!!
Hahahahahaha.....I'm finally feeling the stress...exam stress.
Afraid I can't complete my revision. I really hate it when I go into an examination room unprepared or only semi-prepared. Don't like that feeling~ I have 6 modules + 1 project...total 7 papers. Only started revision on Wed. HOW??? How to cover all topics for every modules???
So my little maltese came back with a new look on Sun. She looks like a poodle/lamb.
Then on Monday evening, she fell sick. No idea what was the real cause of it. She had fever only, no vomitting or anything else. How did we know she's sick? She was exceptionally quiet and inactive. My dad bought our fave Tofu Bun and she didn't react when I took out the bun to have a bite.
Come Tuesday, took her to the vet. First thing the Doc said was that she didn't look sick. As usual, once we stepped into the clinic..she got over-excited or nervous. True enough, she had fever. After the jab, she recovered immediately. Regained her activities once she reached home.
Anyways, she kept me busy the entire week. Have to feed her medicine twice a day, apply cream for her patchy spot, special diet for the first two days etc etc.
Finally....I've only 1 more assignment left to complete and it's 30% done! And I still have projects, mock exams this week, exams, my dog, job search and to add to the long long list of things to do...TRAVEL PLANS!
And before I can even go for holiday, I have to sterilize my dog. Haizzz...so sad. Have been struggling about it for so long. Sterilize or no sterilize? So heart-broken to see my dog being left on the operating table. But if I don't do it, I can't leave in peace. No choice, no choice...
Anyways, the pet shop just came to collect Bebe this morning for grooming. SO SAD! She didn't want to be put in that stupid cage, I know. Poor girl...think she was scared too. Feel so empty now..the house feels empty.
It's Saturday and what am I doing at home? Recuperating. I've been coughing for more than a week and I never had the time to truly rest until today.
Oki, forgot to write about last Saturday. It was Grandma's birthday!!! Happy Birthday PoPo!
The dinner was at AsiaGrand. Had cold crab (their signature dish, yummy yummy), scallops (that was served with the nice shell), little suckling pig (the skin was real crispy), winter melon soup (one of the best soups I ever had at restaurants) etc etc etc...& not forgetting the red wine. All the dishes were great. One of the best feasts I've had so far.
*The shell was so pretty that I wanted to take it home. But the waitress removed my plate before I can even ask.
*The suckling pig with burnt ears. Check out the lazy suzie, it's made of frosted glass. I thought it's cool~
The waitresses and waiters were so attentive that there were so many hands distrupting (or distracting) my dinner and conversations throughout the evening to change this that and refill this that for me. Hands sticking out from behind. *Laughs*
